Breeders of modern pig breeds face major challenges such as larger litter size, longer farrowing times, metabolic diseases and many other stress factors.
Ms. Dr. Kathrin Bühler, Head of Research and Development at Herbonis Animal Health, spoke about the above-mentioned problems and their relationship to the vitamin D metabolism.
Vitamin D, more precisely the metabolically active form of vitamin D (1,25 (OH) 2D3), is of enormous importance not only for calcium metabolism, but also for fertility and the immune system!
The product Panbonis® (natural source of the bioactive form of vitamin D) helps the sows to cope with these challenges.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all participants again and wish them every success for the future!
Thanks also to our partner company Panadditiv for organizing the webinar.
